End of the Year Festivities
It’s the final countdown. We have six days left of this school year and as I look at my lesson plans I think “special activity” will be a staple of our schedule from here on out.
I wanted to do something special for my parent volunteers because I had a handful who consistently helped in our classroom all year. I started to browse the wonderful world of Pinterest and came across an idea of giving anti-bacterial hand gel. Once I had the gift idea I went to Michael’s and after three hours or so (just kidding) found all the supplies pictured below and only came out with one thing for myself that was less than five dollars! SCORE! Our school mascot are owls so I thought the owl ribbon was a perfect touch to finish the gift.
The saying says, “Hands down your help was appreciated!”
Another activity we do the last week of Kindergarten is write to the incoming Kindergartners. The current Kindergartners get really excited to be able to share their wisdom. We put the papers on our bulletin board for the beginning of the year. It’s a win, win because the bulletin board has art work on the board for new parents and students to see and our old crew gets to see their work posted when they return for first grade! (Especially helps some of our friends with the first grade jitters)
Download the paper we use, In Kindergarten you will, here!
Before I sign off I wanted to include the SuperKids Memory Book I created. We are doing this throughout the week this week. I like the idea of a memory book especially for the kiddos who do not order a yearbook, they still have a place to collect autographs and write about school. Click on the picture to find it in my TpT store.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! It is a dreary day here, but the Blackhawks play tonight and we are hoping for a WIN!
