Highlight Reel
Brrrrr! This week has been cold. A fellow friend summed it up well as we came in from bus duty, “Weather should not hurt!” Ironically enough, since the falling temperatures I must say the low humming of “Let it Go!” and Elsa talk has become nonexistent. I think the kiddos are on strike!
Despite the frigid temps, our Kindergarten class has had a fun, busy week. Our routine has consisted of activity, GoNoodle, activity, GoNoodle, repeat! We are all one more indoor recess away from a meltdown, (teacher included)!
Kidding aside, our beginning, middle, end activities have been a big hit. We started the week with reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The first day we read the story, sorted the pictures into B/M/E, and then practiced retelling with a friend. The second day we put Goldilocks and the Three Bears into a B/M/E organizer. It was fun to see the kiddos differentiate their own learning. Some drew pictures depicting the story, others drew pictures and added words, and some did just writing.
Today we huffed, and puffed our way through The Three Little Pigs. The students loved reading the story! Afterwards we practiced sorting the pictures into B/M/E. My class is becoming quite the beginning, middle, end professionals.
Well, that about wraps up our highlight reel for the week!
Happy Friday’s Eve Everyone!
