May Resources for Kindergarten

Can you believe this school year is almost over? It is so hard to believe that it is already May. If you’re tired of lesson planning, you’re in luck! Today, I have a roundup of my favorite May resources for kindergarten. These are engaging, seasonal, and sure to make your teaching a little easier this month!

Math Journals

Math journals spiral review math concepts from the entire year. They are adorable, standards-aligned, and low-prep. They are great for review of all of your skills this year, which makes them the perfect morning work or center for springtime! In my store, I have both May and June journals!

Blends and Digraph Adventure

This is a fun, pirate-themed treasure hunt through digraphs and blends! Students will read clues in a treasure hunt and answer questions. The clues in the hunt review blend and digraph skills your students have learned this year.

May Writing Rings

This engaging writing activity gets students to use seasonal terms in their writing. First, spring vocabulary words are cut and put on rings. Next, students flip through the rings to pull inspiration from the terms. Then, they write about the prompts on the writing pages. This is a simple but effective way to get students to write about spring topics that engage them!

Animal Riddles

This time of year is perfect for some enrichment activities! Riddles build critical thinking skills, and are perfect for early finishers or fun whole group activity! This write the room task gets students thinking critically about animal traits. Students read a list of clues about an animal. Then, they must decide which animal is being described. The cards are differentiated. Choose from cards with only text, or cards that have the clues and two pictures of animals to narrow down the options.

These May resources for kindergarten will make your last weeks of school engaging and enriching! Save money with this May bundle of resources. If you want more ideas for ending your school year strong, check out this post!
