Tech Tuesday
I’m linking up with the lovely Once Upon a Classroom for Tech Tuesday. The technology tool I am going to share is EDpuzzle. EDpuzzle is a free website (signup required) that lets you take just about any video off the web, edit it down to the portions you want, add audio notes and questions for students, and create virtual classrooms where you can monitor student work. This is a great tool to use for quick assessments of how your students are doing. I am currently getting my Technology Endorsement and for the first class we used this website for one of our assignments. The assessment I made to try with my Kindergarten class is attached below, When you Add with a Pirate. It is an addition video that stops six times to ask them addition questions to solve. The website records the students answers and then teachers can go back and look at the results. I was pleasantly surprised that once I showed my class how to navigate through the video one time, they were able to independently complete the rest of the assessment. I am excited to use this website in the future!
