Tech Tuesday

It is Tuesday so that means I am linking up with Once Upon a Classroom for her fun Tech Tuesday linky party.

The technology tool I am going to share today is…

iPadio!  Raise your hand if you thought I was going to talk about Target! 😉  At least that is what I always think of when I see this symbol.  iPadio is a free app that you can download from iTunes or Google play to record and share audio on the web.  I learned about this app from my Multimedia class I am currently taking.  We used it to record a podcast.  It is easy to use (simply press the record button) and then share by either embedding the link on your website or share on your preferred social platform (twitter, YouTube, blogger)

I could see myself using this to record messages to my students if I was out for the day or to use to record information to share with the parents.  I also thought it would be fun to use with students during projects and activities and then share with parents on our learning management system.  It is just another way to help parents feel connected to the classroom.  Especially parents who do not have the opportunity to come in.  One article I was reading suggested using it to record weekly newsletters as an alternative to always having to do a paper copy.

Be sure to check out Once Upon a Classroom for other great technology tools and tips.

Have a great Tuesday!
