Currently: September

I am excited to link up with Farley from Oh’ Boy 4th Grade for her monthly Currently.  I’m not going to lie, I feel like I just wrote my currently for August. Time sure does fly…
Listening– As I type away on my blog, I am listening to the sound of my wonderful Hubby vacuuming the family room.  He is a sweetheart and always pitches in.  I am a lucky girl!
Loving– I am LOVING my  new class.  They are the sweetest, cutest, smartest bunch of kindergarten kiddos.  We are going to have a great year together.  We have been in school for eight days and I have enjoyed getting to know them.  I can’t wait to watch them grow throughout the year.
Thinking– Since starting school I have been struggling with keeping my eyes open past nine o’clock.  All my other teacher friends out there please tell me I’m not alone?!  The beginning of the school year is tiring, and I always seem to block this out. 😉
Wanting– If I could have anything an extra hour or two in my day would be fantastic.  I feel like my to-do list is never ending and it would help to check a few things off my list. 🙂
Needing– Chocolate is always a good idea!
3 Goals– 1. I want to continue to try to focus on the positive.  I also want to try to not worry about things that do not concern me.  I am guilty of worrying about worrying, so if I can try to focus on only the things that directly involve me I am hoping to alleviate some unwanted stress.  2. A goal of mine this year is to set up guided math centers.  I need to do a better job of it this year.  3.  I really want to try to turn off all technology and just be in the moment for at least an hour a day.  I think it is really refreshing to step away from the emails, social media, text messages etc and take some time to spend with myself, my hubby, my family, and my dogs. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out the other great currently posts.
