Five for Friday

Happy Friday!  This has been a jam packed week and I am excited to be linking up with one of my favorite weekly linkys Doodle Bug Teaching for my Five for Friday.  Lets get this show on the road…

I couldn’t let the week go by without doing one of my favorite Thanksgiving projects.  We read the story Turkey Trouble and then disguised our own turkeys to save them from Thanksgiving Dinner.  I mean who would want to eat a fire breathing dragon anyway?!  I think this turkey is safe. 😉

We have been learning about nouns and I put this packet together last weekend to practice.  The kiddos have loved the pirate theme.

In ELA our focus has been Celebrate You and Me.  We have been talking about our characteristics and what makes us special.  This week we drew a self portrait and labeled characteristics about ourselves inside and out.  It has been fun to hear their discussions about themselves.  Yesterday, the kiddos got with a partner and we interviewed one another to find out facts about each other.  We have been practicing eye contact, listening while others are talking, and writing their response.

It’s a miracle, but I blogged twice this week.  I don’t know about you, but I have found it so hard to keep up with everything this year.  Hopefully as the year continues I’ll start to get into my groove.  Better late than never. 😉

Finally, I found these adorable thankful notes from Schroeder Shenanigans in 2nd and I have enjoyed filling them out for my kiddos.  There is so much to be thankful for this time of year! 🙂
Well that wraps up my Five for Friday.  I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!
